PASTORAL CARE’S MESSAGE

Dear All,

It is another great time now for all Muslims.

It is the twelfth and final month in the Islamic calendar. It is a valuable time as we know and understand that it is a very divine, holy month, one in which the Hajj (pilgrimage) takes place as well as the Festival of the Sacrifice.

Having finished the Month of Mercy, Ramadan; Zulhijjah comes with a lot of blessings such as fasting during the days and remembrance of Allah during the sacred nights. Each of these nights is as valuable as the Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr).

Later, Eid brings lots of joy. Muslims visit their relatives during this time to greet each other. The youth mostly go to visit their elderly family and friends and sometimes they receive pocket money and this tradition can change according to different cultures.

Lastly, l would like to say thanks to all our students, parents and staff for their great support and contributions for Qurban. Thank you all as we have raised $329. 35. Grade 5/6s came first and they collected the most i.e. $180. 60. As a token of our appreciation, the school is going to take these students for a local excursion to GoJump. Thank you all for participating in such a worthy cause.
